Paintballs can be purchased upfront or our venues; we offer discounts to groups that buy in advance alternatively prices start from £15 for a large reloader. Unfortunately, players are not allowed to bring their own paintballs onto a Bedlam site, as we require our paintballs to be individually safety-tested before being used on site. Your day at Bedlam Paintball starts at 9am.  It is essential you arrive on time so that we can get you checked in and kitted out in time for your game.

Lunch is not included in our packages however you can pre buy lunch for only £2.50 or on the day at a cost of £5 per person.

Players are welcomed on site at 9am and split into teams.  Each group is assigned a team leader who distributes equipment, demonstrates how to use it correctly and conducts a full safety briefing.  The team leader will also talk you through the game scenario and offer tips on strategy.

Normally you play through 4 game scenarios before taking a quick breather for lunch and a team photo.  There is then time for 3 or 4 more scenarios in the afternoon. The day usually finishes at around 4pm, when the best team is given an award. Our marshals are always on hand throughout the day to ensure your safety and make sure everyone is having a good time.

How many are in each team?

The total number of players at the venue will be split into two teams, with a minimum of 6 people in each team.

"Pyrotechnics" is the name given to the paintball extras which can be purchased to add drama to games. At present, every Bedlam site offers such pyrotechnics as smoke bombs and paintball grenades. All players must be 12 years of age or older to play at Bedlam Paintball.  This is required for insurance purposes. However, adults and those under 18 can play in the same teams and/or games. 

Bedlam’s fully-trained safety marshals will explain the rules to players on arrival. This includes equipment usage and safety, the difference between the Safety Zones and Game Zones, and the role they play as safety marshal. In addition to this, the marshals will explain the objectives and rules of each game scenario before it begins.
 

Yes!  Not only can you add extras like pyrotechnics and more paintballs, but you can also include lunch, too, if you like. Check out our ‘Packages’ page for more information.

There is no right answer to this as it depends on how much you enjoy your day, how much you want to spend and what type of day it is. For example corporate group tend to use a lot more than your average group of friends as the company are paying but on average our customers seem to use around 50 shots per game.

If your package does not already include lunch or spare paintballs, then it’s wise to bring enough money to cover  a few extras.  Bedlam venues also accept all major credit/debit cards (except American Express).

Don't worry, all you need to do is phone our office as soon as you can and let us know how many players will be attending. This will avoid any confusion on the day and will ensure your day runs smoothly from the outset. 

Yes, there is a shop in the Safety Zone at each of our paintball sites selling tea, coffee, juice, snacks and hot lunches.

Bedlam Paintball is an all-day event, and trust us, at the end of the day you won't want to leave!  Normally you play 4 scenarios in the morning, followed by a lunch break to refuel, then a further 3-4 scenarios in the afternoon.

All team photos and action photography are put up on the Bedlam Facebook page the following Monday, where you can tag photos, tell your friends about them or save the pics for your own use.

Each player should wear loose, comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for a woodland environment (see our blog post 'What Should I Wear to Play Paintball' for more info). You should also remember to bring cash or credit/debit cards in order to purchase extra paintballs, pyrotechnics, lunch and any other refreshments you may require.

Bedlam's Head Office and all on-site shops accept cash and all major credit/debit cards (Switch/Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, etc.) except American Express.
